My running career began in high school as a state champion and two-time All-American. However, I was not instantly a great runner. My first race in high school, I finished second to last on my team. With the proper training, I improved! By my senior year, I was ranked as one of the fastest runners in the country. This took me to the top ranks of the nation’s elite runners and I was heavily recruited by a wide range of NCAA Division 1 Cross Country and Track programs. Ultimately, I selected the University of Portland, where I experienced running in a highly competitive environment. Here, I also received insights into what makes a coach most effective. During my college running days, I sustained an injury that taught me about patience and perseverance. After college, I ran post-collegiately for an Olympic developmental team. Following this, I began my career as an educator and coach for high school teams in Cross-Country and Track and Field. I soon discovered that I was not only passionate about coaching, I also had a gift for it. Over the years, I have helped hundreds of runners improve.

I enjoy coaching runners of all ages and skill levels. As a personal coach, it is my mission to help athletes realize their potential and meet their goals. My coaching services for runners and fitness athletes of all ages, abilities, and distances are designed to provide a training program that allows each athlete to meet goals safely and enjoyably. Education, motivation, training structure, race consultation, and goal-setting are some of the benefits of personal coaching. I have over 10 years of coaching and competitive experience and can provide individualized programs for successfully assisting runners to achieve their personal bests on local, regional, or national scales.
